Thank you everyone who participated in all the auditions. We had a wonderful turnout as usual. Please keep an eye out for the next show's audition dates.

The next show will be "A Christmas Cactus" directed by Steve Chambers. The audition dates are September 29th & 30th @ 7pm. Stay tuned for more info in the upcoming months.

The Santa Maria Civic Theatre and Wil Welsh are looking for some talented musicians to participate in the WORLD PREMIER showing of "Sugar! Oh Sugar!"

Needed for this show are as follow:

Violin Player


Musician auditions will take place on Monday, July 14th, and Tuesday, July 15th, at 7 p.m. at the Santa Maria Civic Theatre

 

 

The Santa Maria Civic Theatre and the Director Will Welsh are looking for seven actors
(3 women and 4 men), ages 20-80, and four to five musicians(piano, bass, guitar, violin, and horn.)

Actors, please prepare a song for the audition.

Character Info

Smokey
A simpe older man, salt-of-the-earth; scruffy, poor, kindly. He has worked for the sugar company most of his life.


Pastor Snorwell
A man of the cloth, but a phony who is tentative and unsure of himself inside, able to be swayed by stronger personalities, not above using the church to get his way.

Dudley Fartsworth
A slick and unscrupulous banker, inherently evil, a real villain.


Lilly White-Hart
A delicate flower of beauty and innocence.


Granny Crusty
Funny and wise. Loves alcoholic beverages.


Rosey Lipps
An experienced lady of the night, street-wise and good hearted.


Doug Deeper
All-American hero-type, wholesome, innocent.
