Jest A Second!
Sequel to Beau Jest, performed by the SMCT in 1994, the hilarity continues. Sarah and Bob, now expecting their first child, are hosting a birthday party for Sarah's mother. Her brother, Joel, arrives early to tell Sarah some news that he has put off telling anybody, involving him and his pediatrician girlfriend, Randy. Bob, knowing that the news will not be well-received by his conservative, Jewish in-laws, once again pulls out his acting skills and goes through heart-stopping, thigh-slapping, delightfully humorous impersonating antics to help keep peace in the family. But ultimately, Joel must face his parents and decide how to confess his secret himself. A fun way to end our season!

Mike
Parsley
Dr. Rosen |
Mike's first appearance on the Santa Maria Civic Theatre stage was in 1991 in Gold Fever. He has had numerous support roles and the lead in Seven-Year Itch and Moon Over Buffalo. He also played Popeye with great flare twice for SMCT. His love for the theater and especially the children took him into directing a production for the Summer Fairy Tales, Happy Ever ... What?. The willingness to do ANY role has been a great asset to the theater playing three roles in Sylvia. Mike has enjoyed each of the 20 productions he has worked on and wishes he had more time to devote to SMCT. As a board member for a few years Michael realizes the need for lots of volunteers to do the many tasks besides acting. Mike would like to thank everyone from past to present for all their love and support. Enjoy the show.
